cutest ever.

after i read a thousand books to august, he has still been having trouble with me turning out the light at night time. i turn it off and then lay with him while his music plays, but he needed something else to help him wind down. i started asking him what he's thankful for. at first, i don't think he knew exactly what i meant so i started listing my favorite things but made most of them people so he'd get it. so now, in no particular order, he says thank you mama bus, papa bus, daddy, okee dokee(tony) etc until he's been through them all. and i mean ALL...he lists everyone he knows including my friends' kids. well the other night he was going on and on and yawning, drifting off and then starting a new list and he thanked chicken mcnuggets. that is his most favorite food besides macky cheese so of course he's thankful for those. he "gets it" now.
