fun!!!

we got up early and put on nice clothes because it was time to see santa! santa doesnt bring presents at our house but he is still fun to talk about. it was already snowing by the time we made it in the mall. so glad i made my babywearing blanket with the hood...we are stroller free now. i hate strollers. gus was mr shy so he sat on jjs knee for the pic. h did all right, but no smile. after that gus wanted to ride the train. he nmade it about 2 minutes before he wanted off. no tears, just shy. i think i didnt do a good enough job preparing him for it. i always make a oint to prepare for things he might view as negative, like leaving the toys at the store, but i didnt think this would bother him. duh, we never go to the mall (or anywhere now that it's flu season)

i knitted this afternoon...very cozy...i'm working on getting different stitches consistent. i love it. i'd be at it now, but i have a needy baby on my lap asleep. gus painted. well, he wasted paint by mixing red and green, washing out the brush, start over...i got him to paint a little by using potato stampers. i remember doing that at brownies when i was little. i carved a heart and triangle so we learned those shapes. that worked until he took a bite out of one potato. he helped me mop the kitchen floor and wash down the cabinets, too. it was nice to do things with him. i hope we get to have our playdate thursday! he's having a good week.
