occupied

i've been doing lots of things the last few days. it's nice, really, to be busy with things other than breastfeeding. i'm still doing that of course. anna took pictures of the kids yesterday at the park. mom sat for gus while i took hudson shopping. he smiled at the lady cutting fabric for me. we all went to the heights market but they were sold out of tomatos. next week our plan is to let august eat a sandwich for dinner while we are at the market so we are there earlier.
august learned the word bug yesterday. it was "bye bye bug" instead of me shooing them away. it is fascinating watching him act with no inhibitions. he doesn't know that bugs are icky, we will teach him that. we will model for him to stay away from the bees buzzing around the flowers even though i know how much he wants to touch their fuzzy backs. he buzzes at them now.
today will be slow-paced. i have no real chores to do since i got them done monday. we're going to walk on grandview drive and eat lunch, then i plan to sew while the boys are sleeping.
