change

i got my hair cut and colored. it makes me feel like a whole new person, like i am polished. i may crave the natural side of things (except for mcdonald's fries) but i'd rather not look like it. hence my red hair. it's a shoutout to 1997! i love the pixies and writing in my journal and going out for coffee with kt and j at one world.........my stylist was awesome. she has two little boys 19mo apart and we chatted. she read my style immediately and knew what i wanted right away without much discussion. i highly recommend her. plus she gave me a welcome bag with samples.
we drove out to metamora to see my dad play in the municipal band at the park. it was so much fun. on an episode of jon and kate plus 8 she mentioned that they try to do whatever they can to give their children life experience, no matter what the hassle to them as parents. i keep that in mind when we do things like this. the mennonites had yummy pie, i had sugar free berry, and gus had his ala mode. the sugar rush hit right as the band started playing and he buzzed his car cars up and down the bleacher row. he clapped and danced and imitated the director. hudson, who was crabby since he woke up, sat on my lap quietly. seriously, for like an hour.
the inlaws are coming up in the morning to go to tour jeremy's work and then go to the power parade. i'm attending the tour but i will be sewing during the parade. too much fun for me! i had to hurry and get the kids to bed and clean up so they dont' show up to a dirty house.
