the boys and i stayed home today to hang out and celebrate. like the rest of the country i got chills. i was concentrating on knitting when pastor warren was praying and didn't realize i was saying the Our Father along with him until about halfway through. that was really neat. i am watching the obamas dance right now and it's making me grin. i'm hopeful.
i finished up my Inauguration Hat and gus took it right away to claim it as his. too bad for me, i guess! the first hat i made is not what he wanted. this green one is wool though, and it will be itchy for him. the good news is that if i can get it away from him i finally have a winter hat.
gus watched o-mama and then while hudson was napping we made hulk-colored Hulk Dough. i thought he'd ask me to sculpt a hulk, but instead asked me to make a 'Frosty Noman.' hudson learned how to drink out of an open cup and he thought it was hilarious! since he isn't too interested in drinking out of any kind of spout except straight from the tap, he'll have to have an open cup. august and i also taught him to clap and shake his head when we do. all in one day...he was a busy dude. i just mopped the kitchen and bathroom and the rest of my night will involve smiling at the obamas.
