family fun

we have been busy! friday we took down christmas and got august's kitchen and table together. he has his own space now. i dont' want to put it in his room because i want him out with us. i'm glad we went with natural wood for his things for a number of reasons-one is that it fits our decor :-) it's not like we have a bunch of toys sitting out all the time. that basket holds the baby stuff and only comes out on MWand F anyway. he is really getting into the cooking with his cutting food set and the one saucepan i gave him. hudson has discovered the open/shut feature on the 'oven' door. good times. he is pulling up now and cutting 4 teeth all at the same time. that teething necklace is a lifesaver as always. no tylenol here!

after i put the table together gus had to have a snack there. he chose crackers on a plate. we've been working hard and he can count to ten, though he still says O instead of ten.

today was a good sunday. we woke early and i made pancakes and turkey sausage. i'm glad i caught jj relaxing with the boys because they are all so cute together. i cleaned a little and then the inlaws came from north and south. we didn't get to spend time with dave and andy over christmas so they came to exchange gifts. it was a lovely visit. i wish they'd come more often. dave "unca daze" bought gus a hulk doll that is for preschoolers-how appropriate! it's soft and does the hulky pokey. the pic is gus letting hulk punch him, though the doll doesnt' hit. i'm very adament that we dont have violent hulk things and dave is really cool about it.

my grandma is turning 90 in a few weeks so we had to take a family photo for a collage for her party. i hate having my pic taken but it was fun to do it because august likes to say CHEESE!

i'm content and relaxed. my boys are doing great and they are happy. i really couldn't ask for more.
