same old

nothing new to report. quiet days around here. i rock hudson and nurse him all the time because he is having trouble staying asleep. august is as sweet as ever. he went shopping with jj today and came home to tell me his first "story" about what he did at the mall. "carcar! gus ride. grrrr! no ride gus cop-cop" meaning jj wouldn't let him ride the helicopter....he went on and on repeating himself. it was adorable. he sang a song as i was tucking him into bed tonight that went like this "gus and mama. mama and gus. gus and mama." repeat again.
today i heard some good news. a friend of mine won a 1000$ gift card to bremer jewelry! too bad everything in there is THOUSANDS of dollars! wow. my wedding ring came from bargain basement priced Roger's n hollands or whatever so i didn't know. i'm happy for her. it is a once in a lifetime chance for people like us. she deserves it.
we went to the Bus residence for dinner tonight. i let my dad feed hudson home made mashed potatoes and it was the best thing ever. he was surprised that hudson didnt' know what to do because i don't spoon feed him anything. however, like overnight he is all about feeding himself, so we're finally finally eating. my boobs need a break. he had grilled chicken and bits of broccoli for lunch, and cottage cheese, bits of lean pork loin, and mashed potatoes for dinner.
i've been practicing stitches, working out whenever i get ten minutes, and baking cookies. apparently i still look pregnant though :-( i thought i was looking better.
