i took a break from playing with the makeshift cage and stuffed pug gus has been all about lately to clean the bathroom. no big deal, i do it every other day. gus came in, took the vinegar spray from me, frowned in that way that is like looking into a mirror for me, and said "MAMA no clean! mama play dog with gus! okay!" it was such a good sentence, no whining or frustration...i am so relieved he is finally able to express his needs. he is aware of hudson's needs too, as in "mama, hudson cry. num num milk please(peas)."
one more thing. at lunch time i had ketchup out on the table and he asked for "keputch." it made me laugh because my brother called it keputch for years.
