oh wow

watching the duggar trainwreck again because hudson has this habit of holding my boob hostage and i can't get up. one of the boys is now engaged to a girl, 20 years old. good for them. they pledged to stay pure, and what that means to them is that they will only hold hands, not kiss, until their wedding day. that is the focus of this show, and their chaperones for all their dates to keep them in line. my issues with these things are 1. mom and dad said to tell them when they wanted to kiss, and mom and dad would kiss "for them" instead since they can't kiss until their wedding day. ok YUCK. 2. all of this buildup for a kiss and their first time in bed togther is fine, if not immature, but what about the day after their honeymoon ends, and the day after that, etc? ETA what if the other one sucks at kissing??? OOPS!
i'm sure they are prepared, moreso than most people in america. i just hate to see them edit the hell out of an episode so all we see are two kids who think that first kiss is all there is. that show reeks of exploitation, no matter where the money ends up.
