celebration of fall

jeremy took the whole weekend off. we were together the entire time, too. i so needed that. even though the kids were with us we were able to talk and spend fun time together. i didn't do any normal chores outside of the day to days and we had so much fun. saturday, we went to walmart to get odds and ends (i had my coupons of course) and then we headed to metamora for a hike in the woods and a weiner roast at my mom's house. SO FUN! the walk was quick but so good...i kept stopping to smell the fallen leaves. it's intoxicating. the bonfire was a blast because august had sydney to play with. i wore h the whole time because he has been crashing for the night around 6pm. he slept great all bundled up next to the warm fire with me. my mom was so cute. she had planned smores, chili, queso, and hot dogs. it was fall-o-rific.
sunday was aiden's first birthday party!!! she is such a doll! it was an outside party at a nice park. there was lots of room for the kiddos to run around. august colored a card for her. we don't buy cards anymore, why would you if you had a 2year old to make one?? we ate lots of food and cake. it was cold but clear and perfect. again, h asleep at 6.
