one day is absolutely freaking nuts, the next goes so smoothly that you amaze yourself. you'd never know that i got up at 5am. my kids are sleeping soundly, and i'm just sitting here, calm...................we had houston today. not a peep out of that little dude! no crying! in 8 hours! we started the day with an hour long walk, with h in the sling, when some guy asked me if i had triplets. yea, gus is just big for his age. we had fun all day like that. jj worked normal hours, so he was there to help with august and he actually folded a load of laundry. i am blessed to have such a great husband. i don't take him for granted because (and i quote) "99% of dudes don't help out as much as me so I'm awesome." yes, you are awesome.
after adam picked up houston gus was still asleep, so i made taco dip with leftovers and actually had a high protein, organic meal while slinging h. he was pleased. i made gus organic ravioli and talked to my SIL about going to the pumpkin festival. i got gus in the tub to fingerpaint, since he was covered in tomato sauce anyway. he immediately slapped some on his face, ala daddy when he is shaving. it cracks me up how much he imitates us. i let him squirt it out and he got so excited! paint is fun to squish between your toes.
since it has been such a cold, rainy day i put them in their new matching thermal pjs. i was reading bedtime stories and noticed how adorable they looked so i snapped some pics. it amazes me how much hudson has grown. 6months already!
