i get a migraine. i dont know if i am just worn out by the weekend or what. i do know that the past four nights, i have been awakened by my sweet baby. we go right back to sleep, but still...so today was almost a bust. jj was a big help, taking care of the boys when he could so i was able to rest. they went on a long walk for almost two hours. i finally felt a little better so i took h to the store and we got fixins for chicken tacos. i dont think jj likes how i make them because its very low-fat. i had some coupons so i was able to afford all organic except for sour cream. he is the only one who eats sour cream so i figured it was ok. it's hard not to shovel handfuls of organic shredded cheese in my mouth. boo.
after dinner we went to target to bum around. i dont remember the last time we were there; we shop so little anymore because i use so little. it's nice! we got some round storage things for the living room in place of a coffee table. you can't put a drink on them but they will be good for storing the learning toys. plus, august figured out that he fits in one perfectly, and with the lid on he is transformed into oscar the grouch!
i am anti-cheap plastic crap but jj is not because of our budget issues...so we wound up with the cheapo set of play food. the ridiculous food fanatic in me wants to scream...it includes hamburger helper, taco seasoning, chopped turkey in a can....YUCK. all the name brands too. trying.to.stay.calm......gus freaking loves that play food! he already plays kitchen so we got his pans and spoons out and he served jj a plate of stew, which he made from a donut, pretzel, ice cream cone, lettuce, one french fry, and a strawberry. he even knew to shake 'salt' and pepper on it. we don't model that for him because we dont use salt and pepper. in fact, my mom bought a set of shakers for my house for her own use! i also bought various little bottles to help him learn how much soap to use, etc. i love that target has all the natural soaps we use for pretty cheap. i heart california baby!

ACK! if you were going to have to buy plastic anyway, you could have picked up a whole kitchen set (i think it even included utensils) at melissa's gma's for super cheap! if you want i can find out if they still have one..I know there were two there.
