sweet moments

we ran around like crazy people today, preparing for a fun weekend. we got our car back finally. it looks great-no more van! i tanned and tried to relax but it didn't happen. carly's little girl was born today so i have been thinking about them a lot and texting with her. i can't wait to meet her tomorrow. i was there within an hour of tryston's birth and it was a life-changing day for me (not that it wasn't for her ha ha) because that day i decided i did want kids and lots of them. i held that little guy and studied his face and felt the non-weight that is a newborn...i thought of that moment when i was hyperventilating after i pushed august out on his birthday. the first thing i said to august was, "hi sweet boy! you are all mine! you are my little boy!"

he took a long nap and ate lots of soy protein and beans at dinner. more more more more. i was too hot to take them to the music festival, though we will definitely be there next year when they can both groove to the tunes. we went outside in the yard instead. i brought out all the toys and a blanket for hudson to lay on. he was fussy and wanted to nurse so i took my shirt off and went topless for a little while. i was visible from the road but i dare anyone to complain! while i was nursing h laying down, gus came over and laid next to me. it was the best feeling in the world to be nursing one and laying with the other one, watching the leaves on the trees blow. there was a bird flying high overhead so we chatted about the birdy. then i sang to them and took pictures. i wish i would have had the camera instead of my cell phone but it's charging. that time outside made my whole week.
i gave august organic crackers and PB (like fancy ritzbitz sandwiches) and he stacked up four of them on the table and ate them all like a dog would in one bite. it's hard to describe how hilarious this was because he didn't know i was watching. i was impressed.
