playdate

sydney and courtney came over today! they stayed all day and we had lots of fun. i am exhausted. august was very very 'crazy' and not normal for him. it was wearing on me. he kept throwing toys and i kept doing time-ins. finally i decided that duh, throwing is ok outside, so lets go back outside. tired mommies and tired toddlers. both my boys are sleeping and it's almost 5. i love having people over with kids. courtney is so easy to talk to. we are both ocd about our kids and try unsuccessfully to hide it from each other. she is so understanding about my worries for august because she has the same specific worries about sydney. even though gus was spirited today he had a blast. i let them go hog-wild with toys in and outside. they found a neat green beetle on the porch (that's what they're looking at.) best friends forever!
