hot weekend

i've been busy. yesterday anna came over in the afternoon after we got our monthly grocery trip over with. then my parents brought dinner over and i went with my mom to see aunt jean. she looked good, was in good spirits, but she was talking about something that made no sense to me. i hope i'm wrong and what she was saying was about something real. i played along but i'm concerned. i hope she gets the care she needs there. she has an angiogram in the morning. her room is next door to where my grandpa stayed during one of his visits there. i remember how it was at the end of the hall and they had extra wheelchairs stored out the door and i played on them with tony. it was weird seeing that boring hallway and instantly connecting with the space. that's how i felt when we looked at our house the first time. the door, archways and linen closet were familiar and comforting.
today we drove to princeton to my aunt's house for a cousin graduation. it was really nice to get away for the day. i have been wanting to go for a drive and i have never been up rte 29 past chilli so it was some nice scenery. i wont drive around with no purpose due to gas prices. i even feel guilty for running the AC in the car. when we got home after everyone settled down i did a whirlwind cleaning of the house, floors, and organized the linen closet. oh and two loads of laundry. i did not wash dipes today as i had them in sposies up there but the pail is stinky so guess what i'm doing tomorrow morning. i got really frustrated tonight cleaning because i try so hard to keep it not only clutter free but clean...but people wont take their shoes off or wipe the pee of the toilet seat. i'm trying not to think about how much more i will have to do when the kids are older. i got so um frustrated that i threw all the shoes on the front porch.
