fathers day

today was very nice. lovely, in fact. everyone slept in until 815, i didn't have to cook at all today, i got out for a trip to the market with hudson who cooed in the sling......wonderful. we had my parents over for a cheapo cookout. august and i had lo fat turkey dogs and fruit and raw veg. if i wasn't nursing i would so do the raw food/grilled chicken diet i was on before i got pregnant. i had so much energy.
my mom brought me cookie monster. he officially lives at our house. it will be weird to see the empty space on her counter. i didn't know it, but she bought that from a ceramic artist who used to live down the street from them. when they moved in that house i was a little over two and when we visited the neighbor's ceramic studio i fell in love with the cookie monster cookie jar so she bought it. WELL august loves him too. kisses, hugs, open shut open shut...hug grandma, kiss grandma, pat cookie on the back. he is such a loveable kid.
tomorrow i have to get up early and tan, go to NY for detergent and more fenugreek, then take the boys to the dr to get august's stitches out. not fun. i am not cooking tomorrow night either. we will eat leftovers.
