today sucked until i had enough of poop, hitting, not sleeping, coffee-not-working, time-in fun and threw the kids in the car to drive to pekin. h's doc called, he has pnuemonia, new antibiotic because the one he's on won't touch it. i KNEW he was really sick last week. i had a mama-gut moment and took him right to the dr. just today he is eating better, though he was still fussy. so now i have to go get a probiotic asap tomorrow to keep his insides working well.
saturday night i went to hob lob to get a last skein of yarn for the like three inches i need to finish h's blanket. they were out. i was in despair until today when i found what i needed. the boys slept the whole way there, i listened to butt rock. peace. i just blew our schedule and chilled in the car with no one grabbing at me. came home, gus was in a better mood finally, got H in the tub, made annie's mac n cheese and jj called..........he is not getting laid off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for now he is working. his section has always been super busy and they decided to keep some guys on. he might get bumped to another shift but who cares about that...i'm just so so thankful. he could get laid off at any moment still, but for now we are safe. even a few more months of working is just that, paychecks and health insurance.
now i really have to hit the sticks :-)

Poor baby, I hope he feels better soon. I am a huge believer in pro-biotics when my kiddos are needing to take various meds. Good for you for getting some "mental health" sometimes you just need to do it (one or two days of blown schedule will not derail the overall). My mantra in life is - bed time will come (even if it means two wiggly kiddos in bed but who doesn't love a sweet baby snuggling you!)
