h is one!

he had a great day. we ate lunch at a restaurant on the river. we had lunch there last year on the 4th and i was having contractions while trying to eat. it was much warmer this year, so we hung out by the river and took a few photos. gus and uncle tony were BFF today. after that we had cake for tony's birthday and the boys napped. i cleaned the house with the windows open and i can still smell the sweet spring air in here.

we went to metamora for dinner tonight and the boys were wonderful, and played together. hudson is so close to walking on his own. he discovered grandma bus' treat drawer. life is growing up around here, and i kind of like it. i like the mix of baby and big boy. i am looking forward to all of the changes in store for hudson's 2nd year, but still enjoying the baby he is. he has dirt and grass to discover and trees to explore. he 'talks' on the phone, plays peekaboo, pat-a-cake, waves goodbye and hello, calls nursing NaNaNa while signing "milk" and he looooves his big brother. his birthday party is saturday.
