holy crap

i'm listening to 'douchebag' (thanks kt) bush blather on about the economy. i've been watching this crisis unfold the past few weeks and i kept waiting on old raisin face to do SOMETHING, anything.....acknowledge it would be a start...well now he's having a fireside chat, reading a line of bs off a teleprompter to keep people from pulling their money out of banks. i saw a bit of glen beck tonight and he was laughing at the situation as it is so out of control and ridiculous.
are they still trying to pass the rescue plan with no oversight or accountability or has that been amended? i am so confused. i really had faith in this election to turn things around until now. we are f*ked.
i'm thankful for our mortgage approval, and thankful i wasn't an IDIOT who signed up for an ARM loan, and thankful i was a banker at the time and knew what questions to ask. i pay my bills on time. my husband goes to his machinist job at caterpillar six days a week. we eat healthy food, don't smoke, don't hit our children or each other, pray and meditate, buy products made in america. my FIL is a farmer. my dad did the same thing my husband is doing. we are the almighty american dream. i will fight hard to keep it this way. no one can take my john mellencamp song away from me.
