as requested

here are some really bad pics of my new haircut and gus showing off his new owl pants that i made. they are big on them because they are flannel and for winter time (plus they have to fit over those big diapers). I look like Crap because i got all hot and icky at the breastfeeding thing at the riverfront tonight. it was really fun! we got a balloon airplane and lots of other goodies. the kids had fun. anyway my hair looks terrible by the end of a hot day but here it is....by the way i made the sling too. i'm going to make one for carly tonight but i dont think they are very good yet. i'll get better.

this has been a great week so far. since i am with the kids all day alone i've pared down our lives to the basics. i took them to anna's today for a while and we played with aiden and houston. other than that it's clean bodies, clean diapers and clothes, and full bellies. anything else is playtime. i get wrapped up in details like running here, or doing blah blah but it's so nice to just be here with them. i've been sewing a lot and that is very relaxing. yes i miss my husband but it's good for us, too, in a way.

i'll also give myself a pat on the back for taking the One Garbage Can challenge from api and succeeding! we used to have two FULL cans plus a box or two. now i'm recycling all paper/paperboard and we have just a few pullup diapers to dispose of weekly. go us! i got all excited when jj told me it all fit in one can today and he said i could save the world now.
