what a great birthday for august!!! we had so much fun. with lots of planning it turned out to be a great party. hudson was very fussy from friday on so it was tough but i had lots of help. anna and jim helped me make the cake and cupcakes on friday and it took forever. we tried to get the frosting color right and it turned out muddy, so i ended up throwing away four cans of blue icing. once the color was right, it looked awesome. i put cookies around the base of the cake as it was cookie monster and when gus saw it and was ready to blow out candles he kept taking cookies and eating one bite out of them, like Cookie does! it was so cute. he had the icing off of two cupcakes and maybe one bite of cake. he spent the rest of his party in a disposable diaper only. he had a blast. he totally knew it was a party for him. he looks so serious in the pictures but he was laughing and showing off all day long. we got him a cozy coupe and a toybox. he got a lot of other neat gifts like a couch to lay on, a little pool for our house, and a Cars sleeping bag. i will put a few pics on here but the rest will be on the photobucket page so look there. i had lots of help and i appreciate it very much. jeremy worked on the 4th so it was hard without him.
