late night

i let gus stay up way late tonight. he had a late nap so i figured there would be less protesting. he is having trouble with transitions-sleeping to awake, tv time to playtime, etc. we're working through that together. he ate well tonight, then got mad at me and threw his plate on the floor. grrr. h of course wouldn't nap all evening so he was fussy. it wasn't that bad though. the best part was when gus and i sat down to make cards for mothers day. i bought real ones that are for grandmas but i think those will be from hudson. gus fingerpainted and used a paintbrush! he likes to get a whole handful of the gooey paint and slam it down on the paper/table/himself so now the cards will take forever to dry. i doubt they will fold nicely because the paint is thick. he also had fun with glitter glue and pom poms but he didn't eat any this time. i can't wait to have both of them at the table for craft time.
