no nap

we went to my parents' house this afternoon so my mom could dye my hair. cant afford 110 dollar highlights anymore! gus did nothing but sing loudly during his 'nap' so i got him up. he played car cars and grandma taught him how to dunk cookies in milk. because i am food nazi they were 100 calorie pack shortbreads but i will not deny my children cookie and milk time at grandma's house. she is so cool-she knows how i feel about treats so she buys the "healthier" stuff for him and always asks if it's ok for him to have one. h was so sweet and smiley. he slept through dinner! and he went 5 hours straight last night too! i still feel weird and dizzy though. dr for h and i tomorrow. i am refusing the rotavirus vaccine. he wont go to daycare so its not much of a concern to me. i'd like to refuse them all but he might go to daycare after he's a year old so i dont want to have to overload him all at once.
i had a mom moment today. i was spacing out watching tv while gus ate lunch and h fed. i must have not seen the contraband car car gus snuck to the table because i looked over after a few minutes and he was driving the car through his plate of food and eating the food off of it. yes he was sucking cottage cheese off of a plastic car while i watched roseanne. baaaad mom.
